Episode: Connections: Rolling Stones, Dylan, Buzzy Linhart plus new and vintage music

Feb 21, 2020 episode of Connections on WPKN with Eric Cocks. It's spontaneous! New and vintage music, plus a very personal tribute to my old friend Buzzy Linhart in the last twenty minutes of the show.

Includes several songs by Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, along with The Beatles, Talking Heads, Nick Lowe, Cindy Lee Berryhill, Harry Nilsson, T Rex, Linda Ronstadt, The Band, Sam The Sham, The Kingsmen and more.

Plus new music by Jenny O., John Moreland, Grimes, Fruition, Daphne Guinness, Best Coast, Poolside & Ben Browning, EOB, Wilsen, Joywave, The Squeaky Chairs, The Doops, Miscellaneous Thoughts and whatever happened in the moment.

The legendary Buzzy Linhart was truly one of a kind. Brilliant songwriter and musician. He wrote well known songs covered by Carly Simon and Bette Midler and played with Jimi Hendrix, among many others. He was also an actor in the cult film, The Groove Tube. For a more thorough biography, please check the insightful NY Times obituary by Jim Farber and/or numerous other sources. This is about personal recollections. A kind man with a great sense of humor, who will be missed by many.

Thanks for tuning in!
