1) Bartlett Naylor, Financial Policy Advocate with Public Citizen, discusses his group's opposition to President Trump's nominee, Kathy Kraninger, to become the next director of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He'll review current efforts being made to dismantle the Bureau under its current acting director Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

2) Amirah Sequeira, Legislative Advocate with National Nurses United, talks about the announcement on Thursday, July 19th, re: the formation of a House Medicare for All Caucus. She'll examine both the political and economic issues involved in moving the U.S. to a universal, single payer health care system.

3) Dylan Petrohilos an activist with the coalition of groups organizing a protest action in Washington, D.C. to confront white supremacists who will be gathering at the White House on August 10th. The discussion will focus on the action -- and the growth of neo-fascism in the U.S., emboldened by the Trump presidency, and what progressive activists are doing to mobilize against right wing extremists threatening democracy and civil society across the U.S.

4) Stan Heller, executive director of the Middle East Crisis Committee, administrator of the group Promoting Enduring Peace, and host of the Struggle TV program talks about a flotilla of ships, intent on breaking Israel’s 10-year blockade of the Gaza Strip which is due to set sail from the Italian port of Palmero, two months after it first set off from Copenhagen, Denmark. The flotilla, with 40 activists on board, is part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, an umbrella of organizations aiming to end Gaza's closure.
