Episode: 10.19.15: Counterpoint host Scott Harris discusses the Trans Pacific Partnership free trade treaty; Corporate tax avoidance; Israeli/Palestinian Combatants for Peace; Emloyment practices lawsuit against the Disney corporation

Counterpoint, hosted by Scott Harris, is heard every Monday night on WPKN 89.5 FM, Bridgeport, CT between 8:00 - 10:00 pm ET. Webstreaming and audio archive at http://wpkn.org

1) Jessa Boehner, International Program Associate with Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch who assesses the recent finalization of the Trans Pacific Partnership free trade agreement -- and the next steps by opponents in their campaign to defeat Congressional approval of the pact.

2) Matt Gardner, Executive Director of the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy who discusses the recently published report from Citizens for Tax Justice, "Offshore Shell Games 2015," which reveals that multinational corporations’ use of tax havens allows them to avoid an estimated $90 billion in federal income taxes each year.

3) Sulaiman Khatib and Maya Katz, members of the group Combatants for Peace, talk about their bi-national peace activist movement of former Israeli and Palestinian combatants who were once part of the cycle of violence and who decided to lay down weapons and to work together towards peace and coexistence in non-violent ways.

4) Civil rights attorney James Otto talks about his law suit against the Walt Disney corporation for their layoff of over 850 U.S workers who were forced to train their low-wage foreign replacements before being fired -- and the larger issue of fraudulent U.S. guest worker visas.
