Episode: 04.29.24: Counterpoint host Scott Harris discusses the weaponization of antisemitism to attack student Gaza protesters; Israel sells occupied Palestinian land in US and Canada; Supreme Court hears case that could criminalize homelessness and poverty

Counterpoint, hosted by Scott Harris, is heard every Monday night on WPKN 89.5 FM, Bridgeport, CT between 8:00 – 9:30 pm ET. Webstreaming and audio archive at http://wpkn.org

1) Arun Kundnani, author of "What is Antiracism?," "The Muslims are Coming!" and "The End of Tolerance," discusses the attacks on, and mass arrests of anti-war, pro-Palestinian college student protesters coast-to-coast, and the blatant and dishonest conflation of any and all criticism of Israel with antisemitism.

2) Eleanor Goldfield, creative radical, journalist and filmmaker discusses her reporting on protests and challenges to recent Israeli real estate company-organized events in the U.S. and Canada, which are selling properties in the occupied West Bank, deemed illegal under international law, covered in her recent Truthout article, "Israeli Firms Are Working Overtime to Sell Stolen Palestinian Land to US Jews."

3) Keith McHenry, co-founder of the group Food Not Bombs in 1980, discusses his concerns re: the recent Supreme Court hearing of arguments in the case City of Grants Pass, Oregon v. Johnson, where an Oregon city banned homeless residents from public camping, imposing fines and jail time - and the larger issues of criminalizing homelessness and poverty.
