2) Ellen Vollinger, Legal/Food Stamp Director with the Food Research and Action Center discusses her group's opposition to proposed new Trump administration rules for the SNAP food stamp program, that if implemented would take away basic food assistance from an estimated 3.1 million people, mainly working families with children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
3) Beth Foster, a member of DangerousIdeas Collective and organizes with Tennessee Anti-Racist Network, talks about the anti-fascist organizing that she's part of in Tennessee -- touching on many of the points she wrote about in her recent Waging Nonviolence article, "Tennessee antifascists boldly disrupt, infiltrate and expose annual white supremacist gatherings," while also sharing her views on the increasing # of mass shootings across the nation at the hands of avowed white supremacists.
3) Two Mass shootings Kill 31 in 13 hours, Injures dozens more. Brief CBS interview with Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke discussing the mass shootings in El Paso Texas, carried out by an avowed white supremacist -- and Dayton, Ohio -- linking the violence to President Trump's racism and hatred toward immigrants.
