2) Richard Silverstein, publisher of Tikun Olam, a blog addressing Israeli national security issues, provides analysis and commentary on Israel and Iran's recent military attacks and counterattacks, the danger of a regional war, the U.S. role in reducing tensions, and urgent efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and end Israel's catastrophic war in Gaza.
3) Kim Ives, a journalist and editor at the weekly newspaper Haïti Liberté, assesses Haiti's new transitional ruling council installed by CARICOM, the U.S., France and Canada, the response to the provisional government by a coalition of armed gangs, the expected deployment of a Kenyan police force, and shortages of food across the country.
4) Chris Gauvreau and Emma Willer, organizers with the Connecticut chapter of the international climate group 350.org talk about the work 350 CT is engaged in on local and national climate issues, as well as upcoming events in which listeners can participate.
