3) Dr. Robert Hecht, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Yale University's School of Public Health and President of Pharos Global Health Advisors. Dr. Hecht will discuss obstacles to equitable vaccine distribution here in the US and in developing nations -- and lessons we can learn from COVID re: the importance of having a strong public health sector.
4) Colleen Shaddox, a career journalist and activist committed to criminal justice reform and economic equality, talks about her new book, "Broke in America: Seeing, Understanding, and Ending US Poverty," co-authored with Joanne Samuel Goldblum. The book examines how bad public policies conspire to keep people poor, and the concrete steps we can take to end poverty for good.
