2) Hadas Thier, an activist and socialist in New York, and the author of the forthcoming book "A People's Guide to Capitalism: An Introduction to Marxist Economics," talks about her recent Jacobin Magazine article titled, "Congress Has Failed to Extend Unemployment Benefits. We Need Them Desperately, and Much More."

3). Democratic primary candidates for Connecticut State Senate District 17: Justin Farmer, a 25-year-old activist and second term Legislative Councilman representing Hamden’s 5th District, and his opponent Jorge Cabrera, the Democratic Party endorsed candidate in the race is a business representative and Director of Organizing with UFCW Local 919 -- Jorge was a key leader in the historic Stop and Shop strike.

4) Ted Glick, a progressive social change movement activist for more than 50 years, talks about his new book, "Burglar for Peace: Lessons Learned in the Catholic Left's Resistance to the Vietnam War," an exploration of the sweeping landscape of the American Left during the Vietnam War era, Glick a Selective Service draft resister, spent 11 months in prison.
