1) Catherine Tactaquin, Executive Director of the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights discusses the militarization of the U.S.-Mexico border under Donald Trump, the current shutdown of the U.S. government triggered by Trump's demand for funding to build his southern border wall, and prospects for comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

2) Leigh Chapman, Voting rights campaign director with the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights assesses the introduction of H.R. 1 in the newly Democratic Party controlled House of Representatives. H.R. 1 is a package of voting, campaign finance and ethics reforms, aimed at stamping out the influence of money in politics, curtailing Washington lobbying, and expanding voting rights, with a focus being on the fight ahead to challenge voter suppression tactics nationwide.

3) Craig Aaron, President and CEO of the media democracy group Free Press discusses the ongoing fight to restore net neutrality, his group's current lawsuit against the GOP controlled FCC and other FCC-related issues Free Press is addressing.

4) Karen Bernal, Chair, of the California Democratic Party Progressive Caucus explains the decision to reactivate the independent Bernie Sanders Delegates Network, her view of the other likely progressive Democratic Party primary candidates, and the media's recent treatment of Sanders in news coverage of the 2020 campaign.
