Episode: "Digging in the Dirt" w Dan Kittredge of the Bionutrient Food Assoc.
My guest this time ob "Digging in the Dirt" has been here before. He is Dan Kittredge founder and Executive Director of the Bionutrient Food Assoc. I personally have learned quite a bit from Dan's lectures and we have had Doug DeCandia on this show as well. He's the leader of the Bedford Hills NY Chapter of the BFA.
The chapters are great places to learn, their members are knowledgable and willng to teach and share what they know about healthy soil.
The mission of the BFA is to increase quality in the food supply. Their strategy is to use enlightened self interest to create the reality they want and empower those who understand what it is that they are working on. “When the people lead, the leaders will follow”.
Their first core constituency is the growers of food. The BFA understands that economic viability is an issue in the agricultural community, and so educating growers in the logistics of creating healthier soil ecosystems will result in greater yields from healthier plants that will effectively reduces the cost of production.
